Indiana’s “Predator Catchers” Makes National News

Yesterday the Washington Post published an in-depth article on a group in Indiana volunteering as “child predator catchers.” This article was of particular interest to me because I used to work with both the deputy prosecutor who tried the case and the defense attorney who represented Joshua Clark.

The journalist explored so many different aspects of this case related to my practice: the controversial nature of vigilante justice; the enduring effects of abuse, addiction, and trauma; and the harsh stigma attached to people who commit these types of offenses.
