For the past two years, Joel has worked as a post-disposition coordinator for the Indiana Juvenile Defense Project. The JDP was funded by a Federal grant, which ended this summer. The Indiana Public Defender Council saw the value in continuing the work the JDP began and arranged to continue the project through the Council.
So today Joel begins a new position at the Indiana Public Defender Council as a senior staff attorney. He is excited to continue doing what he loves most: meeting with children newly committed to the D.O.C., assisting other attorneys in juvenile matters, and working with great lawyers who are committed to public defense work.
Joel will also continue his appellate work, as needed, with the Wieneke Law Office, LLC.
